15th Annual Men's Legacy Retreat & Golf Tournament
Fifteen years is quite a while but it seems like yesterday when it all began. Brother Chad Graves started this event while he was the MBSF Director at ASU/Jonesboro in 1998. Four years later First Baptist Church of Cave City took over the sponsorship and the rest is history.
Through the years the Men’s Legacy Retreat has met the need of men coming together for a weekend of fellowship and bonding. Times of encouragement and sharing and of course the challenge of “Leaving A Legacy”.
It is with mixed emotions that after this year I will be stepping down as the event coordinator. It has been a great blessing for me to serve in this capacity for the past 12 years. I thank each of you for the support and prayers you have offered over the years.
Now, this is not to say the Men’s Retreat is going away. There are discussions being held as to what changes will be made to next year’s event. A lot of ideas are being tossed around and from what I’ve heard so far it sounds like we are in for an even better program.
Please pray for the committee that the vision will be clear as to what God would have us to do.
“Leaving A Legacy In Christ”
Continue to check back here for details of what is to come!
As for this year we will be using the same format we used last year:
On Friday there will be Practice Rounds at Mountain Ranch.
On Friday evening, plan on a Legacy Challenge with your individual church group setting aside a time to fellowship, encourage and pray together. The goal is for you to build a stronger bond among the men of your church. Please take advantage of this time together to focus on the theme of "Leaving A Legacy" with your men.
NOTE: Budd Creek Camp will be providing a dinner at 6:30 p.m. along with lodging for those staying at the camp.
Bogies Restaurant at Mountain Ranch will also be providing dinners from their menu for that evening.
On Saturday we will have our Legacy Golf Tournament with a “shotgun” start at 8:00 am.
Fred’s Catfish will again be serving us our lunch at the end of the tournament.
We look forward to God's blessings this year and we look forward to seeing you there.
